CATIA V5 Pucará Aircraft Surface Design
Aafreen KaurProject Overview
This project involves the surface modeling of a Pucará aircraft using CATIA V5, focusing on the fuselage, vertical stabilizer, and horizontal stabilizer. Advanced surface modeling techniques were used to achieve an aerodynamically accurate design with smooth transitions and high precision.
Design Methodology and Features:
- Fuselage: Modeled using multi-section surfaces to ensure a streamlined shape.
- Horizontal Stabilizer (HS): Created using the explicit sweep method with two guide curves, allowing precise control over the aerodynamic profile.
- HS Tip: Designed using the conic sweep method for a smooth, optimized aerodynamic transition.
- Vertical Stabilizer (VS): Constructed with the explicit sweep method, referencing a surface to maintain smooth integration with the fuselage.
